TRUTH: Easter is Over, but Jesus Still Offers Life.

Like most things in America, Easter is over commercialized, and its meaning gets often overlooked. Contrary to Madison Avenue, it is not about bunnies and related products that have the image of a rabbit somewhere in its appeal. Debate abounds over the origin of the day; however, If you want my opinion about it, we should reflect, celebrate, and demonstrate our appreciation of the resurrection of Christ daily, certainly weekly. After all Jesus, according to Luke 22:19, said, “This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.” TRUTH: Easter is Over, but Jesus Still Offers Life.

Matthew 20:17-19

Now Jesus was going up to Jerusalem. On the way, he took the Twelve aside and said to them, “We are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered over to the chief priests and the teachers of the law. They will condemn him to death and will hand him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified. On the third day he will be raised to life!”

Jesus was raised to life indicating His victory over sin and death. His victory conveys that He is able to offer victory over sin and death for those who trust Him as Savior and Lord.

He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.
Romans 3:23-25
all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. 25 God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished—
For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him.
Romans 7:4-6
So, my brothers and sisters, you also died to the law through the body of Christ, that you might belong to another, to him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit for God. For when we were in the realm of the flesh, the sinful passions aroused by the law were at work in us, so that we bore fruit for death. But now, by dying to what once bound us, we have been released from the law so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit, and not in the old way of the written code.
because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.
But if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life because of righteousness.
And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.
For since death came through a man (Adam), the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man (Jesus).
Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil
For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit.
John 11:20-27

20 When Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she went out to meet him, but Mary stayed at home.  21 “Lord,” Martha said to Jesus, “if you had been here, my brother would not have died. 22 But I know that even now God will give you whatever you ask.” 23 Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.” 24 Martha answered, “I know he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.”  25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; 26 and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?” 27 “Yes, Lord,” she replied, “I believe that you are the Messiah, the Son of God,who is to come into the world.”

Jesus said to Martha and says to us “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; 26 and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?” That is the TRUTH: Easter is Over, but Jesus Still Offers Life.
Jesus still offers life to those who would believe that He is God incarnate, the Son of God who died on the cross but was raised from the dead to offer us life. In John 5:24 Jesus said, “Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life.
Will your believe the TRUTH: Easter is Over, but Jesus Still Offers Life?
