Mystery I

In life, the word Mystery is used a lot. Of God, the most quoted statement I hear is “God moves in mysterious ways”, but I have never found that verse in the bible. Truth is it does not exist in the bible; however, the word Mystery is contained in the Word.

Mystery is defined as anything that is kept secret or remains unexplained or unknown or the one I like best is any truth that is unknowable except by divine revelation.

1 Peter 1 gives a glimpse of God’s revelation of His Mystery

10 Concerning this salvation, the prophets, who spoke of the grace that was to come to you, searched intently and with the greatest care, 11 trying to find out the time and circumstances to which the Spirit of Christ in them was pointing when he predicted the sufferings of the Messiah and the glories that would follow. 12 It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves but you, when they spoke of the things that have now been told you by those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. Even angels long to look into these things.

Reading the text, I realize that I am blessed to live in the times God has revealed Christ Jesus to us. I am out of time, but the Word of God speaks infinitely better than I. Read His Word and let HIm speak to you. Lord willing, see you tomorrow.
