It’s Just A Matter of Time

Today, I am a little askew from what I normally write. The plight of the youth dominated and confounded my thought, so I did what I do which is write.

It’s Just A Matter of Time

Have you ever been so saddened that instead of crying you had to smile
Well that’s me each time I see, hear or speak to a truly misguided child
I pray, plead, promote and preach hoping to guide these young friends of mine
Trusting in the promise of God, then waiting because It’s Just A Matter of Time

When I think of all who sacrificed to make their hardship their life’s plight
I am frustrated that many of you fail, shrink back and refuse fight that fight
As for me, yea I despaired but not too long, for I heeded the voices that cheered from behind
Listening to their encouragement and believing their message, that It’s Just A Matter of Time

They say children are the future, teach them well and let them lead the way
But what do you do, when the children shuck off the future, and only play
Today is only important to many of my youth who don’t believe the future is a matter of the mind
But Facebook presents me with students of old who remind me It’s Just A Matter of Time

Despite that hope, some are lost as those were the ones who mostly failed to count the cost
Who can blame for hoping in the youth of today even if it hurts like the liquid in cut from hot sauce
Like that burn, that tinge were the three boys in my office one who could only blame and whine
Today has come, tomorrow will too, Lord willing, then those who failed will herald It’ Just A Matter of Time

Life presents “It’s Just A Matter of Time” starring you. Act wisely. Remember, It’s Just A Matter of Time

The inspiration from the Word of God is Psalms 141. Pray that the youth you know will embrace the spirit expressed in this psalm.

I call to you, Lord, come quickly to me;
    hear me when I call to you.
May my prayer be set before you like incense;
    may the lifting up of my hands be like the evening sacrifice.

Set a guard over my mouth, Lord;
    keep watch over the door of my lips.
Do not let my heart be drawn to what is evil
    so that I take part in wicked deeds
along with those who are evildoers;
    do not let me eat their delicacies.

Let a righteous man strike me—that is a kindness;
    let him rebuke me—that is oil on my head.
My head will not refuse it,
    for my prayer will still be against the deeds of evildoers.

Their rulers will be thrown down from the cliffs,
and the wicked will learn that my words were well spoken.
They will say, “As one plows and breaks up the earth,
so our bones have been scattered at the mouth of the grave.”

But my eyes are fixed on you, Sovereign Lord;
    in you I take refuge—do not give me over to death.
Keep me safe from the traps set by evildoers,
    from the snares they have laid for me.
10 Let the wicked fall into their own nets,
    while I pass by in safety.
